Power does not turn on.
a. Batteries are inserted in the wrong direction --Reload batteries in the correct direction.
b. Batteries are dead --Replace with new batteries.
c. The battery compartment door is open --Make sure the battery compartment door is securely closed. |

The camera does not take pictures.
a. The mode dial is set to playback mode --Turn the mode dial to Auto, Manual, or Video mode.
b. The flash is charging --Wait for the flash to charge.
c. Memory is full --Reformat the SD card.
d. SD card is not formatted correctly --The card may be defective, use a new card.
e. Maximum file number is exceeded --Turn " File No. Reset " on, then format the card or insert a new card. |

Image is not recorded when the shutter button is pressed.
a. The mode dial is set to playback mode --Turn the mode dial to Auto or Manual mode.
b. The flash is charging --Wait for the flash to charge.
c. Memory is full --Make space in memory by deleting images you don't want, or by downloading files to a computer and erasing all files or formatting memory. |

The flash does not fire.
Flash mode is set to OFF. Set the flash to any mode except OFF. |

Memory card Error.
May be the Memory card format issue. Please use camera to format your memory card. |

Images are blurry or out of focus.
a. The camera was moving when the image was captured. Hold the camera steady when shooting pictures.
b. The subject was beyond the range within which the camera can focus.
--Turn the Macro mode on if the subject is with 10cm(zoomed out) or 16cm(zoomed in).
--Do not use Macro mode when shooting distant subjects. |

Images are not displayed on the LCD screen.
A memory card with non-DCIF images (recorded with another camera) is loaded. This camera cannot display non-DCIF images. |

Recorded images are not saved in memory.
The camera was turned off/powered down before the image was stored in memory.
--If the battery low indicator appears on the LCD screen, replace the batteries immediately. |

Cannot transfer images to a computer after connecting the USB cable.
USB driver is not installed.
--Install the USB driver before you connect the camera to a computer. Turn the camera on. |

Images do not appear on the television.
a. The cable is not connected securely. Use the included video cable to connect the camera to a TV.
b. The video system setting is incorrect. Set the video system to the correct setting, NTSC or PAL. |

My Camera is getting through batteries quickly.
Suggest you to use alkaline or high capacity rechargeable batteries. These types of batteries have longer lifetimes than normal batteries. |

How to reinstall the latest driver after experiencing problems?
Please follow the steps as below to reinstall the driver.
(We strongly recommended that you close all application programs, before attempting to install the new application program.)
Disconnect the USB cable.
Uninstall the old driver.
Restart your PC.
Please install the bundle software CD again.
Please restart your PC after the installation is completed so that new driver can function.
Connect USB cable to the camera
(Notice: Please do not connect the camera to your USB port until you have installed the software completely and restarted
your PC.)
Please wait for a minute or two to allow the system to detect the new driver
(Non Win XP) Please checks to see if your system has DirectX installed then if not please install it from the supplied CD-ROM.
Launch the Camera Manager and test all functions to verify that your camera works well. |

We have no immediate plans to develop drivers for LINUX system. |

Is this driver compatible with Macintosh computers?
It is only compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP. But we use the Mass storage function with Macintosh computers.
This camera supports Macintosh computers, but it just support Mac O/S 9.0 or above. |
